PRINCIPAL FRAZIER

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year, Wildcats!

As we embark on this new academic journey, I am filled with excitement and pride to be starting my seventh year as your principal and my 31st year in the Oceanside Unified School District. Each year brings new opportunities for growth, learning, and community building, and I am confident that this year will be no different.

This school year, we will continue our focus on creating a dynamic learning environment that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and personal growth. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing the highest quality education and support to help each student reach their full potential. El Camino is built on the foundation of our core values: Perseverance, Empathy, Respect, Responsibility, and Collaboration. These values guide our actions, shape our interactions, and drive our commitment to excellence.

Perseverance is the backbone of success. As we face challenges, both big and small, we will push through with determination and resilience, knowing that our efforts will lead to achievement.

Empathy allows us to connect with one another on a deeper level. By understanding and sharing the feelings of others, we create a supportive and compassionate environment where everyone feels valued.

Respect is fundamental to a positive school culture. We will show respect for ourselves, our peers, our teachers, and our community by listening, valuing diverse perspectives, and treating everyone with kindness.

Responsibility means taking ownership of our actions and their outcomes. We will hold ourselves accountable for our choices, strive to make positive contributions, and act with integrity in all that we do.

Collaboration is the key to collective success. By working together, sharing ideas, and supporting one another, we will achieve more than we ever could alone. Our strength lies in our unity.

A lot of work has been happening on the EC campus this summer and we are extremely excited about several new or remodeled facilities that we will be opening to our students and Wildcat community:  remodeled library, new Wellness Center, new staff lounge, new student Club Hub, and an updated weight room with all new weights and equipment. 

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s make this school year one of the best yet! And to help us do just that, please consider supporting our students by becoming a bigger part of the Wildcat community. You can participate in one of our booster groups such as EC PAWS (El Camino Parents Assisting Wildcat Sports), Drama/Choir Boosters, or the Instrumental Music Boosters. You can also provide feedback through our LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) survey or my monthly Coffee with the Principal meetings.
