2025-26 Principal Message
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year!
I hope this summer brought your family rest, reflection, and joyful moments together. As we open our doors for a new year, I’m filled with excitement and gratitude to have our students, staff, and families back on campus and ready to begin this next chapter together.
This year, we are continuing to grow our school culture around our five core values: Perseverance, Empathy, Respect, Responsibility, and Collaboration. These values are more than just words—they shape how we learn, how we treat one another, and how we rise to challenges as a united community. You’ll see these values reflected in our classrooms, in our athletic programs, and in the day-to-day interactions that define who we are as a school.
At El CaminoHigh School, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. One of the most meaningful ways students can deepen their connection to school is by getting involved in a club, sport, or activity that sparks their interests and helps them build relationships. Whether it’s joining the Academic League team, performing in the school drama/musical, playing on an athletic team, or participating in student government, these experiences give students a sense of purpose, belonging, and pride in their school community.
Involvement in extracurriculars also plays a critical role in supporting students’ social-emotional well-being. These activities help students develop confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills—all while forming friendships and connections that support their mental health. At the same time, we emphasize the importance of balance. Every student is encouraged to find a rhythm that allows them to pursue their passions while maintaining time for rest, reflection, academics, and self-care. Our goal is to help students grow into well-rounded individuals who feel supported, seen, and inspired to engage fully in both school life and life beyond our walls.
To our returning families, thank you for your continued partnership. To those who are new to our school, welcome—we’re so glad you’re here. Please consider supporting our students by becoming actively engaged in our Wildcat community. You can participate in one of our booster groups such as EC PAWS (El Camino Parents Assisting Wildcat Sports), Drama/Choir Boosters, or the Instrumental Music Boosters. You can also provide feedback through our LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) survey or my quarterly Coffee with the Principal meetings.
We look forward to working closely with you throughout the year to support your child’s success and well-being. Together, let’s make this a year filled with purpose, connection, and momentum. Here's to a strong start and a great year ahead!
Let’s have an amazing year! Goooooo Wildcats!
