2026-27 Principal Message
Dear El Camino Families and Students,
Welcome back to El Camino High School for the 2026–2027 school year! As your proud principal, it is my distinct honor to welcome both our returning Wildcats and those joining our campus family for the very first time. The start of a new school year brings a sense of renewed energy, hope, and opportunity, and our dedicated teachers and staff have been working tirelessly to prepare our classrooms for an incredible year of learning and growth.
At El Camino, our community is anchored by five core values that guide our actions, choices, and interactions every single day. We expect and encourage all students to embody Perseverance by pushing through challenges, Empathy by understanding and caring for others, and Respect by treating everyone with dignity. Furthermore, practicing Responsibility ensures we own our choices and learning, while Collaboration allows us to work together effectively as a team to achieve great success.
High school is a journey best experienced when you are fully engaged, and I strongly encourage every student to look beyond the classroom and get involved in our campus life. We offer a wide array of student-led clubs that cater to diverse interests, offering the perfect space to build friendships and leadership skills. Additionally, our competitive extracurricular sports programs provide an excellent opportunity to stay active, build character, and showcase your Wildcat pride on the court, field, or track.
We also recognize that a student's success is greatly amplified when school and home work in partnership. Parents and guardians, we invite you to be active participants in our vibrant school community. You can make a direct, meaningful impact on our students' high school experiences by joining one of our essential parent organizations, including our EC PAWS (El Camino Parents Assisting Wildcat Sports), Drama/Choir Boosters, or the Instrumental Music Boosters. You can also provide feedback through our LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) survey.
